11th edition International Conference on Artificial Reef and Related Aquatic Habitats (CARAH) 11-13th September 2017

March 14, 2017

The International Conference on Artificial Reef and Related Aquatic Habitats (CARAH) was first organised in 1974 in Texas, USA with aims to improve the exchange of information among people interested in artificial reefs and focus international attention on the potential of artificial reefs in fishery management. Almost 250 attendees from four nations (USA, Australia, Japan and Taiwan) participated the first CARAH event. Since then, CARAH has traveled to various venues worldwide (see list of past CARAH conferences below), allowing the global exchange of knowledge and experience among those involved in the diverse aspects of artificial reefs and related aquatic habitats.

In 2017, the 11th CARAH will be held in Terengganu, Malaysia  from 11 to 13 September 2017 – bringing this much awaited event to Southeast Asia for the first time ever.
